Queensland PGA Championship

After a week at home catching up with everyone and spending a bit of time on my game, it was back on the road again!  The next stop was City Golf Club in Toowoomba, Queensland.

It has been about 6 or 7 years since I last played this event and the course certainly hasn’t gotten any wider! Not a long course but some extremely narrow driving corridors, a good score was available for anyone who could drive the ball well.  I am pleased to say that I did in fact strike the ball great and hit lots of fairways and green, however an uncooperative putter meant the best score I could manage was two rounds of even par 70, 4 shots outside the cut line.  It really speaks to the standard of golf in Australia as the course is by no means easy, simply that the players are good and if you do not play well, you wont be playing on the weekend!
