The next stop on the PGA Tour China was in the city of Zhuzhou, Hunan Province for the Zhuzhou classic at the lovely Xiang Shui Bay Golf Club, an IMG prestige property.
The golf course was fantastic and presented in excellent condition, it was a true pleasure to play an event at such a nice facility. Even better than that was the proximity of the tournament hotel to the golf course, in that we were able to walk to the course each day. It is definitely the case that when you are travelling week in and week out, being able to have ‘easy-logistical’ weeks takes a lot of stress off the table.
I played really nicely all week with an unfortunate finish to my third round, shooting rounds of 71, 69, 71 and 74 to finish in a tie for 28th. All in all another promising week but clearly not capitalising on some opportunities I was able to create through the week which certainly seems to have been a theme to the year so far.
My next event is the first stage of Korn Ferry Qualifying which is being played in Lakeland, Florida on the 1st of October.
