After several weeks back in Atlanta, it was time for a very business end of 2019 to begin.
This would begin back on the PGT-Asia Tour in Manilla, Philippines with the Aboitiz Invitational which was held at the iconic Wack Wack Country Club in Central Manila.
I have been fortunate enough to play at Wack Wack CC previously when I played the Asian Tour between 2009 and 2013. I remember as being narrow and challenging. After several years between visits here, my memories were not disappointed. The course still proving very challenging. I shot rounds of 73, 73, 77 and 73 to finish in a tie for 8th place and only 4 shots off the eventual lead. I had many opportunities through the week that slipped through my hands, however the nature of this golf course is such that it is a war of attrition as opposed to a wall of highlights. All in all, it was a solid start to what would be a marathon run of events.
My next event is back on the PGA Tour China on Hainan Island for the Haikou Classic starting next week, September 12th.
